Akiesha Anderson is the former Associate Director of Admissions for UCLA School of Law. During her time at UCLA, her ability to connect with diverse students helped the school obtain its largest number of Black enrollees in 25 years. Her advice about law school admissions is given from the lens of both an attorney and a former admissions officer.
Akiesha currently works full-time as a legislative and governmental affairs attorney based in Montgomery, Alabama. She currently serves as a criminal justice reform lobbyist and Policy Director for Alabama Appleseed Center for Law & Justice. However, she will soon transition over to the role of Chief of Staff for the Alabama House of Representative’s Office of the Minority Leader / The Alabama House Democratic Caucus. Outside of her day job. Akiesha owns and runs Anderson Admissions Academy which provides e-courses, one-on-one Q&A sessions, Document Reviews, Full Cycle Assistance, and more.
